The Vishy Anand 49 online blitz will be held on 25th of December at 8 p.m. IST on Playchess. We have kept the entries open until 2 p.m. today. These are the last two hours that you have to register for the tournament. Already 160 players have confirmed their entries and as many as 16 GMs and 16 IMs have confirmed their entries. In this article we ask the players who have already registered to take care of some steps to ensure that they have a smooth tournament! The World Rapid and Blitz will begin from tomorrow 26th of December where we will have Vishy Anand looking to defend his world rapid title. This online tournament tonight is the perfect way to get into the groove for this huge event!

The entry fee is Rs. 500 for a non premium member (this includes 1 month of Premium Membership) and Rs.300 for a premium member.
Important instructions by the tournament director:
It's just few hours away now! The Vishy Anand 49 online blitz tournament 2018 will begin at sharp 8 p.m. IST on 25th December 2018. We are glad that you are a part of the event. Here are a few rules that you need to bear in mind:
• We are sure that you have downloaded the Playchess windows software for playing. In case you haven't please do it from here. The tournament can only be played through Playchess Windows Desktop Client Software. It cannot be played from app or on iOS platform or website. So please download the software and if the instructions are not clear to you then read them up here.
• Please check your name in the final player's list. In case it is not there, please contact us on teamchessbaseindia@gmail.com
• Please be at the Vishy Anand Arena in the ChessBase India room at 7.15 p.m. IST. Click on the tab 'players' and then click 'join event'.
• Make sure you login with your registered user ID. The tournament director will accept your entry.
• In case you have any difficulties please contact the 'Referee' who will be present in the playing hall via chat.
• The round will begin at 8 p.m. We are expecting the tournament to end in 1 hour 30 minutes.
• Whatever happens, please do not go out of the Vishy Anand Arena. In case that happens we may not be able to enroll you back for the tournament.
• If your internet connection is weak, you will not be allowed to participate. We do not want laggers to slow down the event. In that case your entry fee will be refunded after payment gateway charges deduction.
• Use of engines is strictly prohibited. All games are being scanned and you will be removed from the tournament. We also have your details and hence you would not be allowed to participate in any future events and your Playchess ID will be banned.
• The provisional standings will be published right after the tournament. The final standings will be published within a week after scanning all the games and ensuring that no cheating was done.
• The decision of the tournament director will be final.
• Last but not the least, have loads of fun and please do let us know your feedback.
